At Fram Renewable Fuels, we believe that we can make a difference.  Located and operating in one of the most highly productive and sustainably forested areas in Georgia, we produce sustainable, renewable wood pellets.

Over 80% of our pellets are manufactured from sawmill and other wood manufacturing waste materials such as sawdust, chips and shavings.  The remaining 20% is made from wood from forest thinnings, tree tops, diseased trees and other forest waste residuals.

We believe in minimizing the greenhouse gas emissions of our pellet production and are continually looking for ways to minimize the carbon footprint of our wood pellets.  We recently switched from trucks to rail in transporting our pellets to the port, recognizing that rail was more efficient.  And we use ships with large storage capacities to transport our pellets to Europe.

Fram Renewable Fuels maintains Sustainability, Chain of Custody and Greenhouse Gas certifications such as Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™). At our Hazlehurst mill we maintain ENplus™ certification for quality residential pellets and are rigorously audited every year by third party auditors.  Fram recently achieved certification under the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) for all Fram Mills.
